Update (Nov 13 2011): The testing has completed, and the experimental storefront has been closed. Thank you for helping me test all these new features!
Okay, here we go!
First of all, I’m going to post some screenshots of how the thing is supposed to look. One thing I noticed in the early days after the WorldWorks store went live was the fact that several bugs were never reported because people didn’t realize that some gnarly display artifact or error was unintentional, so instead of reporting it as a bug, they start shrieking about what an idiot I am for apparently thinking that blue borders around images look good or that 500 pixels offscreen is the ideal location for login/logout link.
I don’t want a repeat of that, so study these reference shots before you get too involved with it.

Okay, now you know what it should look like in recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. In Internet Explorer 9, the corners will not be rounded, and there will be a few minor cosmetic differences like the lack of drop shadows on the text.
Expect glitches or surprises. Older versions of these browsers, especially IE, may not work very well at all. Firefox users running Noscript should see helpful red error text saying that Javascript is disabled, and they might also see some goofy visual issues like the various blocks not being of equal heights and stuff like that.
I’ve only tested it on Windows 7, so I’m not sure if there are any OS-specific issues to worry about.
