I’m old!

My stepdaughter Sara and her husband Alan became parents last night, and we visited them in the hospital today. I’m technically a grandfather now.

It’s official. I’m old. 😀

OK, this is what you need to do next:
You need to come up with a list of things that where better when you where a kid.
Next come up with several stories of hardship you endured while you were young.
Finally you need to start reminding people of the various aches and pains that come up during the day.
That should get you started, but at some point you need to start getting grumpier.

Welcome to the “Gramps Club”, Chris. I’ve been a member for 5 years now, and have 2 of ’em – lol.

Congratulations ‘old’ man. Now you can go into all of those toy shops and truthfully claim you are buying something for the kids!

You’re not old until the songs you danced to in high school get played on the “Oldies” radio stations. Wait… that makes me old, too!

Congrats on the new grandchild. 🙂

    Congratulation, Gramps.
(You’ll really know you’ve gotten old when lime green plaid pants start to look snappy.)

It’s sort of a transient phenomenon for me. I have 2 other technical grandkids (by way of my stepson), but this is Sara and Alan’s first baby, and I go through this “I’m old!” stuff every time a new baby is added to the family. It’s also a reminder that my stepkids are getting older and hitting new milestones in life. 🙂
